Paula Tate joined Eye Consultants in 2010 and has been instrumental in the development of our Optical Boutique.

Born in Ohio, Paula is a licensed optician in both Ohio and Florida. She has been in the optical field for 24 years, and is experienced in all aspects of frame selection and repair, with extensive knowledge of lens options and quality.  Equally important, she has a knack for matching you with the best-looking, best-fitting frame for your individual features.  And isn’t that what we want from new glasses or sunglasses – to see well and look great!

While the first 10 years of her optical career were spent with “big-box” retail chains, she made a transition to the more personalized care provided by boutique practices because of the long-term relationships they afford.  “I love getting to know the people who walk in to browse.  For Eye Consultants patients, that first pair of non-prescription sunglasses after LASIK is a dream.  Before you know it, that person’s father is coming in for driving glasses, and mom stops by to look at a frame she saw in a magazine or an update for her reading glasses.  Here, I get to know families and interests and fashion styles.  That’s the reward of this career.  You’re protecting eyes, and helping people feel great, all at the same time.”

Paula enjoys boating, fishing, and restaurants on the beach.  She has two dogs named Rigsby and Jack who love to swim and take in the surf and sand.  She also enjoys watching sports, gardening, and architectural design.  Paula says, “I am looking forward to working with the Eye Consultants team.  Dr. Pascucci and his staff are the best, bar none!  I am so thankful to be a part of this practice, and look forward to each and every day.”
