Linda Zanas, OD“I chose optometry based on personal experience. I was born with glaucoma in one eye and my earliest memories include the surgery and hospitalization related to treatment. When I was about 10 years old, it was revealed that I was near-sighted.   Seeing through my first pair of glasses without squinting was liberating! Realizing from a very early age just how important eye health is, combined with my love of biology, shaped my career decision.

I specialize in full scope optometry including pre-operative and post-operative surgical care, primary care, ocular disease treatment and management.  I bring to Eye Consultants an expertise in contact lens fitting, glasses prescribing and a passionate commitment to individualized patient care.

After building my own optometric practice for many years in Chicago and the surrounding metropolitan area, my husband and I relocated to Florida to enjoy the warmer winters, sunshine and beautiful sunsets.  I enjoy cooking, swimming, decorating and spending time with our six-year-old son.”
